Joseph D. Malone
Joseph Daniel Malone (born November 18, 1954) is an American businessman, former Treasurer and Receiver-General of Massachusetts, and a former member of the Republican Party. In 2010, Malone ran for the Republican nomination for Congress in Massachusetts's 10th congressional district. In 2013, he announced he was leaving the Republican party to become an Independent. Joe Malone is a frequent contributor for Fox 25 as a political analyst. As of 2021 he is the last Republican to serve as Treasurer of Massachusetts. Biography Early life and career Malone was born in Newton, Massachusetts, and is the youngest of seven children of Italian immigrants. His mother worked in the administration of Governor John Volpe. Edward William Brooke III (October 26, 1919 – January 3, 2015) was an American politician of the Republican Party, who represented Massachusetts in the United States Senate from 1967 until 1979. Prior to serving in the Senate, he served as the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 1963 until 1967.
