Jorge Martín (motorcycle Racer)
Jorge Martín Almoguera (born 29 January 1998), nicknamed the ''Martinator'', is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racing, Grand Prix motorcycle racer, who rides for Aprilia Racing. He won the 2024 MotoGP World Championship with Pramac Racing, Prima Pramac Racing, becoming the first independent team rider to win the premier class title in the MotoGP era. After winning the 2014 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, Martin moved to the Moto3 class the following year, winning the title in 2018 Moto3 World Championship, 2018 with Gresini Racing. He spent two years in Moto2 before moving to the premier class with Prima Pramac Racing in 2021 MotoGP World Championship, 2021. The 2021 FIM MotoGP World Championship was the premier class of the 73rd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Fabio Quartararo won his first world title, with five race wins ahead of securing the title in the third last race of the season. Quartararo became the first ever Frenchman to win the premier class title, which was also the first title for a non-Spanish rider since Australian Casey Stoner in 2011. Aspar Team (formerly Ángel Nieto Team) is a Grand Prix motorcycle racing team from Spain, competing in the Moto2, Moto3 and MotoE World Championships. History The team was created by former world champion Jorge Martínez in 1992, when he was still riding a Honda RS125R. For 1993 Martínez expanded his operations into the 250cc class debuting with Juan Borja. For the next two seasons the Aspar team switched to Yamaha TZ125 bikes leaving the 250cc division.
