Jorge Da Silva
Jorge Orosmán da Silva Echeverrito (born 11 December 1961) is a Uruguayan former Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football)#Striker, striker. Nicknamed "Polilla" ("Moth" in English), he played professionally in four countries his own notwithstanding. In 2007, he embarked in a managerial career. Da Silva played nearly 30 times with Uruguay national football team, Uruguay, representing the nation at the 1986 FIFA World Cup, 1986 World Cup and the 1993 Copa América tournaments. Playing career Club Born in Montevideo, da Silva made his debut in 1977 for Centro Atlético Fénix, C.A. Fénix. He then had a short spell with Danubio F.C. before joining Defensor Sporting in 1978. Peñarol
Club Atlético Peñarol (; English: ''Peñarol Athletic Club'') —also known as ''Carboneros'', ''Aurinegros,'' and (familiarly) ''Manyas''— is a Uruguayan sports club from Montevideo. A prolific goalscorer known for his spectacular strikes and volleys, he is widely regarded as the greatest Mexican footballer of all time. Copa De La Liga
The Copa de la Liga (League Cup in Spanish) was a Spanish football tournament created in 1982. Due to time constraints, saturation and club pressure, the competition only lasted four years, being cancelled in 1986. Winning the trophy helped two clubs to complete cup doubles: FC Barcelona with the Copa del Rey (1983) and Real Madrid with the UEFA Cup (1985). In all four finals, the team that played the second leg at home won the trophy. Format The League Cup was a straight knock-out competition. All ties were played over two legs, home and away, with the team with the largest aggregate score progressing. The final also consisted of two games. If the aggregate score was tied after two legs of ninety minutes each, extra-time would be played. If that failed to separate the teams, a penalty shootout would determine the winner. Pichichi Trophy
In Spanish football, the Trofeo Pichichi is awarded by the sports newspaper '' Marca'' to the top goalscorer of each La Liga season. Named after the Athletic Bilbao striker Rafael "Pichichi" Moreno, the trophy has been awarded annually since the 1952–53 season. All top scorers who preceded the award's creation were retroactively named Pichichi winners by ''Marca''. Since the 2014–15 season, the top scorer of the Liga Iberdrola is also awarded the Pichichi Trophy. The Pichichi is not officially recognised by the league's governing body, the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional. 1986 FIFA World Cup
The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the 13th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June 1986. The tournament was the second to feature a 24-team format. Colombia had been originally chosen to host the competition by FIFA but, largely due to economic reasons, was not able to do so, and resigned in 1982. Mexico was selected as the new host in May 1983, and became the first country to host the World Cup more than once, after previously hosting in 1970. The World Cup was won by Argentina (their second title, after winning in 1978).
