Jordanian National Basketball Team
The Jordan national basketball team is the official basketball team of Jordan in international competitions. The Jordanian team achievements in recent years beside qualifying to World Cup for two times (2010 and 2019), won the William Jones Cup in 2007 and 2008 and FIBA Asia Stankovic cup in Kuwait in 2008, finishing at the first place of Arab Nations cup in Egypt in 2007, and runners up in 2008, runners up at 2011 FIBA Asia Championship and 3rd place in 2009 FIBA Asia Championship, and finally 3rd place in Asia Challenge Cup 2016. The Jordan Basketball Federation is the governing body of basketball in Jordan. The federation founded in 1957, represents basketball with public authorities as well as with national and international sports organizations and as such with Jordan in international competitions. Chinese Taipei National Basketball Team
The Chinese Taipei men's national basketball team is the men's basketball team representing the Republic of China on Taiwan in international competitions, organised and run by the Chinese Taipei Basketball Association (CTBA; ). The team was known as Formosa prior to the implementation of the Nagoya Resolution in 1981. Led by team leader, Yi Kuo-juei (), Chinese Taipei's fourth-place finish at the 1959 FIBA World Championship is the second best finish of an Asian team at the World Championship, only behind the Philippines' third-place finish at the 1954 FIBA World Championship. 1963 ABC Championship
The 1963 ABC Championship was the second edition of the ABC Championship, a tournament which was held by FIBA Asia since 1960. The tournament which was held in Taipei, Taiwan saw eight teams compete (an expansion of one team) in a round-robin tournament with the top four teams qualifying through to the championship round where they played each other again one more time. The bottom four teams would compete in a classification round. The tournament saw the first tie-breaker matches to be played with Thailand defeating Malaya to book a spot in the championship round. In the championship round, the Philippines and Taiwan finish level with an 8–2 record. This meant that they had to play in a play-off to decide the champion which was played on December 3. In that final match, the Philippines would claim their second title defeating Taiwan, 99–71. Third was South Korea who had defeated the play-off teams at least once during the tournament. The 1960 ABC Championship was the first edition of the ABC Championship, a tournament which was held by FIBA Asia. The tournament which was held in Manila, Philippines saw seven teams compete in a round-robin tournament with the top four teams qualifying through to the final round where they played each other again one more time. In the final round, the Philippines took out the title as they won all nine of their games to come out the winners. Taiwan finished as the runner-up with the only two losses being against the champions. Japan rounded out the podium in third. 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 18th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams. The tournament was hosted in China and was rescheduled from 2018 to 2019, becoming the first since 1967 FIBA World Championship, 1967 that did not occur in the same year as the FIFA World Cup (which was held the previous year). The tournament expanded from 24 to 32 teams.
