Jordan National Under-17 Football Team
The Jordan national under-17 football team () is the national under-17 football team of Jordan and is controlled by the Jordan Football Association. The team also serves as the national under-16 and national under-15 football teams of Jordan. While the team is yet to qualify for both the FIFA U-17 World Cup, they have played in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup three times, reaching the quarter-finals of the 2010 edition. They also participate in the WAFF U-16 Championship. Jordan Football Association
The Jordan Football Association ( ar, الاتحاد الأردني لكرة القدم) is the governing body for association football, football in Jordan. The JFA was awarded best association of the AFC in 2013. History Tournaments Jordan is known to be the Dark Horse of Asian Football, They were one play-off away from reaching the 2014 FIFA World Cup, they lost to Uruguay in a two-legged play-off. The most recent tournament they played was the 2019 AFC Asian Cup where they lost to Vietnam on Penalties in the Round of 16. The farthest Jordan got in the AFC Asian Cup was in 2004 and 2011, reaching the quarter-finals both times as they were paired with Asian Powerhouses such as Japan & South Korea, however, as an underdog they exceeded expectations and made it past the group stages. 2014 AFC U-16 Championship
The 2014 AFC U-16 Championship was the 16th edition of the biennial international youth football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for players aged 16 and below. Thailand were approved as hosts of the competition on 25 April 2013. The tournament was held from 6 to 20 September 2014, with the top four teams qualifying for the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile. North Korea won the tournament, and were joined by South Korea, Australia, and Syria as AFC qualifiers for the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Colwyn Roger Rowe (born 22 March 1956) is an English football coach and former professional player. Career Playing career Rowe began his professional career in 1973 with Colchester United, before signing with Chelmsford City in 1975. Coaching career After retiring as a professional player, Rowe began work as a professional football coach, and has coached in numerous countries around the world. He began his career as manager of several semi-professional teams in England, such as Lowestoft Town, Ipswich Wanderers, Woodbridge Town, and Heybridge Swifts. Rowe was responsible for setting up the PASE scheme a football academy for aspiring footballers to train full-time alongside education with Ioswich Wanderers and also Woodbridge Town. Adnan Mohammad Awad Al-Shuaibat (born 15 February 1973), known as Adnan Awad, is a Jordanian footballer, who played as a defender for Al-Faisaly (Amman), which he currently coaches, and the Jordan national football team.
