Jonathan Knight
Jonathan Rashleigh Knight-Rodriguez (born November 29, 1968) is an American singer. He is best known for being a member of the boy band New Kids on the Block. It also includes Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Danny Wood and his younger brother Jordan. He is the oldest member of the band and the first to leave it in 1994 prior to their official split. Early life Jonathan Knight was born in Boston, Massachusetts. His parents are Canadian, his father from Meaford, Ontario and his mother from Dunnville, Ontario. He is one of six children: Allison, Sharon, David, Christopher and Jordan. His father is an Episcopal priest. New Kids on the Block From 1986 until 1994, Knight was a member of the American boy band New Kids on the Block. Jonathan Knight painted by Nathaniel Jocelyn, 1827 Jonathan Knight (September 4, 1789 – August 25, 1864) was an American physician and founding professor of the Yale Medical School. He was a son of Dr. Jonathan Knight, a Surgeon's mate in the Continental Army, and was born in Norwalk, Connecticut. His mother was a daughter of Dr. Asahel Fitch, of Reading, Connecticut. He graduated from Yale College in 1808. For two years after graduation he taught school in Norwich and New London, Connecticut and was next a Tutor in Yale College for one year. He then attended two annual courses of medical lectures in the University of Pennsylvania, having already been licensed to practice, by the Connecticut Medical Society, in August, 1811. He received the honorary degree of M. D from Yale College in 1818. The Medical Institution of Yale College was organized in 1813, and he was appointed the Professor of Anatomy and Physiology. Jonathan Knight (railroader)
Jonathan Knight (November 22, 1787 – November 22, 1858) was an American politician who served as an Opposition Party member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Pennsylvania's 20th congressional district from 1855 to 1857. He also served as a member of the Pennsylvania Senate for the 20th district from 1822 to 1828. He was a civil engineer who worked on the National Road and as the first chief engineer of B&O Railroad. Early life Jonathan Knight was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the tenth child of Abel and Anna S. Knight. In 1801, he moved with his parents to East Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania. He attended the common schools, worked as a teacher and purchased a farm. He continued to do survey work and became a civil engineer.
