Jonathan Harvey (February 25, 1780 – August 23, 1859) was an American farmer and politician from New Hampshire. He served as a member of the United States House of Representatives and the New Hampshire House of Representatives in the early 1800s. Early life Born in Sutton, New Hampshire, Harvey was the son of Matthew and Hannah (Hadley) Harvey. He was the brother of Matthew Harvey, a United States federal judge. He attended the common schools before engaging in agricultural pursuits. Career He served as member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1811 to 1816, 1831 to 1834, and 1838 to 1840. He served in the New Hampshire Senate from 1816 to 1823, and was president of the State Senate from 1817 to 1823. He was a member of the Executive Council of New Hampshire from 1823 to 1825. Jonathan Paul Harvey (born 13 June 1968) is an English screen actor and playwright. Life and works Harvey was born at Liverpool, Lancashire in 1968 to Maureen and Brian Harvey. He has a brother, Timothy, who is a music teacher in Chester. A former secondary school English teacher, his first serious attempt as a playwright was in 1987. He entered a competition, with a first prize of £1,000, for young writers at the Liverpool Playhouse, with his play ''The Cherry Blossom Tree'', a blend of suicide, murder and nuns. He won National Girobank Young Writer of the Year Award for ''The Cherry Blossom Tree''. Count Binface is a satirical political candidate created by British comedian Jonathan Harvey in 2018. He was a candidate for Uxbridge and South Ruislip in the 2019 United Kingdom general election against prime minister Boris Johnson. He also stood in the 2021 London mayoral election. In earlier elections Harvey stood as Lord Buckethead, but was forced to change the name due to a copyright dispute with American filmmaker Todd Durham, who created the character for his 1984 science fiction film ''Hyperspace''. Another individual contested the Uxbridge and South Ruislip seat as Buckethead, representing the Official Monster Raving Loony Party, to which Binface said he "look forward to both the hustings and to challenging imto take part in a receptacle-to-receptacle debate". Lord Buckethead is a satirical political candidate who has stood in four British general elections since 1987, portrayed by several individuals. He poses as an intergalactic villain similar to the '' Star Wars'' character Darth Vader. Lord Buckethead was created by the American filmmaker Todd Durham for his 1984 science fiction film ''Hyperspace''. Without authorisation, the British video distributor Mike Lee adopted Lord Buckethead to stand in the 1987 UK general election and again in the 1992 general election. The character went unused until the comedian Jonathan Harvey stood as Lord Buckethead in the 2017 general election; his televised appearance standing next to prime minister Theresa May went viral, drawing media coverage and an online following.
