Jonathan Harris (American Football)
Jonathan Harris (born August 4, 1996) is an American football defensive end for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Lindenwood. College career Harris was a member of the Lindenwood Lions, redshirting his true freshman season. He finished his collegiate career with 183 tackles (38.5 for loss), 22 sacks, four forced fumbles, an interception and a fumble recovery. Professional career Chicago Bears Harris signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2019. He was waived on August 31, 2019, during final roster cuts but was re-signed to the Bears' practice squad the following day. Harris was promoted to the Bears active roster on September 28, 2019. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man line defense, seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. Non-football Illness
Non-football injury and non-football illness (NFI) are roster designations used in the National Football League (NFL) for players who are unable to practice as a result of conditions unrelated to football, or injuries that did not occur during NFL games or practices. They are similar to the physically unable to perform and injured reserve lists. Active/NFI Players who report to training camp injured or ill due to injuries or illnesses sustained outside of NFL practices or games can be placed on the active/non-football injury or active/non-football illness lists while they recover. A player cannot remain on an NFI list if they participate in a practice or game during the preseason. Players on these lists still count towards the 90-man roster limits prior to the start of the regular season. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster.
