Jonathan Evans (rugby Union)
Jonathan Evans (born 25 July 1992) is a Welsh rugby union footballer, who play at scrum half for Ebbw Vale RFC. He also played for the Scarlets, Newport Gwent Dragons and Bath. Club career Evans played his junior rugby and also began his senior career at Bargoed RFC, he had also been a member of the Newport Gwent Dragons academy. Before playing for the Dragons he had played for Welsh Premier Division sides Pontypool RFC and Newport RFC. Originally an outside half, Evans move to scrum half at U16 level. Evans made his professional debut for the Newport Gwent Dragons in a Pro12 match against the Ospreys on 7 May 2010, he was at the time the youngest Dragons player ever at 17. On 24 February 2015, it was announced Evans would join Premiership side Bath from the start of the 2015–16 season. Scrum Half (rugby Union)
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Players that play multiple positions are called "utility players". Forwards compete for the ball in scrums and line-outs and are generally bigger and stronger than the backs. Props push in the scrums, while the hooker tries to secure the ball for their team by "hooking" it back with their heel. The Six Nations Under 20s Championship is an international rugby union tournament. It is the under-20s equivalent of the Six Nations Championship. 2017 Pro12 Grand Final
The 2017 Pro12 Grand Final was the final match of the 2016–17 Pro12 season. The 2016–17 season was the third with Guinness as the title sponsor and the eighth ever League Grand Final. The final was played at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. The game was contested by Scarlets and Munster with Scarlets winning 46-22. 2016–17 Pro12
The 2016–17 Pro12 (also known as the ''Guinness Pro12'' for sponsorship reasons) was the sixteenth season of the professional rugby union competition originally known as the Celtic League, and the seventh with a four-country format. It was the third season to be referred to as the ''Guinness Pro12''. The twelve competing teams were the four Irish teams: Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster; two Italian teams: Treviso and Zebre; two Scottish teams: Edinburgh and Glasgow Warriors and four Welsh teams: Cardiff Blues, Newport Gwent Dragons, Ospreys and Scarlets. Nikola Matawalu
Nikola Matawalu (born 8 March 1989) is a Fiji international rugby union player. He plays in the scrum-half position but can also cover wing. He plays for US Montauban in the French Rugby Pro D2. He previously played for Glasgow Warriors. He had over a 100 appearances for the Glasgow club and won the Pro12 title with them in season 2014-15. Chris Cook (born 16 April 1991) is an English rugby union player, who currently plays at scrum-half for Zebre Parma in United Rugby Championship. A product of the Bath Rugby academy, Cook made his Aviva Premiership debut as a substitute against Sale Sharks. He spent the first half of the 2013-14 season playing for Bath's "A" team, before being loaned out to promotion hopefuls London Welsh. Newcastle Falcons is a rugby union team that play in Premiership Rugby, England's highest division of rugby union. The club was established in 1877 as the Gosforth Football Club. Around 1882 the club merged with the Northumberland Football Club and briefly assumed their name until 1887. The United Rugby Championship (URC) is an annual rugby union competition involving professional teams from Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa, and Wales. The current name was adopted in 2021 when the league expanded to include four South African teams previously from the SANZAR Super Rugby competition.
