MPFL Division 1
The Malaysia Premier Futsal League Division 1, commonly abbreviated as MPFL Division 1, is the highest division of the Malaysia Premier Futsal League (MPFL) and is currently contested by 8 teams. Since the MPFL was introduced in 2019, only two teams have ever been crowned champions, namely Selangor in 2019 and 2022 (using the name Selangor MAC) and Pahang Rangers in 2023. MPFL 2020 and 2021 were canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic. Seasons run from mid-February to the early November, with the 8 teams all meeting each other twice, resulting in a 14-match season, for a total of 56 matches league-wide. Abu Haniffa Bin Hasan (born 22 February 1991), is a Malaysian futsal player. He currently plays for Johor Darul Ta'zim F.C. Futsal, JDT Futsal in the Malaysia Premier Futsal League, the premier professional futsal league in Malaysia, and capped by Malaysia national futsal team, Malaysian national team. Early life and education Abu Haniffa Hasan was born in Melaka, Malaysia. His parents both worked as civil servants in the Malaysia government. He started his futsal career at early stage when he was in secondary school. Playing at futsal court in Melaka with his fellow friends. AFC Futsal Club Championship
The AFC Futsal Club Championship is the current highest Asian futsal club competition, hosted by the Asian Football Confederation. It is futsal equivalent to AFC Champions League. For the inaugural edition, AFC Futsal Committee decided to make it an invitational event, and each member association has been asked to nominate their national league champions for the tournament. History and format A trial edition, named 2006 Asia Futsal Cup, was run in 2006 with six teams participating. Iranian team Shensa Saveh beat Uzbek Ardus FC 5–1 in the final. The first recognised edition by the AFC was held in 2010 and ran with ten teams, forming two groups of five teams. The top two finishers then proceeded to the semi-finals. The Malaysia Futsal Cup (abbreviated as MFC) is an annual futsal club competition in Malaysia organised by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). Teams qualify for the competition based on their performance in Malaysia Premier Futsal League (MPFL). First contested in the 2022 season, the competition serves as a domestic cup for futsal in Malaysia. The competition is contested by 8 teams, 6 teams qualify directly and 2 teams from the qualifying round. The winners of the competition are awarded with a slot to compete in the AFF Futsal Club Championship.
