John Ryan (rugby Union, Born 1988)
John William Ryan (born 2 August 1988) is an Irish rugby union player for Chiefs in Super Rugby. He plays as a prop. Early career From Berrings, Cork and educated at Christian Brothers College, Ryan played schools rugby for Christian Brothers and represented Munster at Schools, U19, U20 and Academy level. In 2010 and 2011, he also played for the International Club XV. Club career Munster Ryan joined the Munster senior squad in 2010–11. He made his Munster senior debut against Cardiff Blues on 23 September 2011. Ryan signed a contract extension with the province in March 2012. He won the 2011–12 British and Irish Cup with Munster A on 27 April 2012. He made his Heineken Cup debut for Munster on 20 January 2013, as a replacement against Racing 92. Cork ( , from , meaning 'marsh') is the second largest city in Ireland and third largest city by population on the island of Ireland. Super Rugby is a men's professional rugby union club competition involving teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. It previously included teams from Argentina, Japan, and South Africa. The 2016–17 Pro12 (also known as the ''Guinness Pro12'' for sponsorship reasons) was the sixteenth season of the professional rugby union competition originally known as the Celtic League, and the seventh with a four-country format. It was the third season to be referred to as the ''Guinness Pro12''. The twelve competing teams were the four Irish teams: Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster; two Italian teams: Treviso and Zebre; two Scottish teams: Edinburgh and Glasgow Warriors and four Welsh teams: Cardiff Blues, Newport Gwent Dragons, Ospreys and Scarlets. Tyler Bleyendaal (born 31 May 1990) is a New Zealand former rugby union player and current coach. Primarily a fly-half who could also play at centre, Bleyendaal played for Canterbury, and Munster during his playing career, before he was forced to retire from rugby in May 2020 after a persistent neck injury. Rodney Parade is a stadium in the city of Newport, South Wales, owned and operated by the Welsh Rugby Union. It is located on the east bank of the River Usk in Newport city centre. The ground is on Rodney Road, a short walk from the city's central bus and railway stations via Newport Bridge or Newport City footbridge.
