John Pickersgill Rodger
Sir John Pickersgill Rodger, (12 February 1851 – 19 September 1910) was a British colonial administrator. Early life Rodger was born in 1851 at Marylebone in London, the second son of Sir Robert Rodger and his wife Sophia (née Pickersgill). His father was a landowner, magistrate and Justice of the Peace who purchased Hadlow Castle in Kent where the family lived, and was the High Sheriff of Kent in 1865. He was educated at Eton College, where he was in the cricket XI, and went up to Christ Church, Oxford in 1870.Carlaw D (2020) ''Kent County Cricketers A to Z.
