John Henninger Reagan
John Henninger Reagan (October 8, 1818March 6, 1905) was an American politician from Texas. A Democrat, Reagan resigned from the U.S. House of Representatives when Texas seceded from the Union and joined the Confederate States of America. He served in the cabinet of Jefferson Davis as Postmaster General. After the Confederate defeat and his release from prison after the war, Reagan called for cooperation by the South with the federal government, an unpopular position among most conservative whites. He was elected to Congress in 1874, after his predictions of harsh treatment for resistance to the Reconstruction era were proved correct. He was elected in 1886 by the state legislature as a Democrat from Texas to the US Senate, where he served one term from 1887 to 1891. He resigned from the seat when appointed by the governor as chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission. He was among the founders of the Texas State Historical Association. ''Alias Mary Flynn'' is a 1925 American silent drama film directed by Ralph Ince and starring Evelyn Brent. The film is considered to be lost. Plot As described in a film magazine review, John Reagan, Sr. adopts Mary Flynn after rescuing her from the police who wanted her in connection with a robbery. Jason Forbes, a jewel collector, attempts to use Reagan in a plot to steal a valuable gem. When he refuses, Forbes threatens to expose an incident in Reagan's past life, and then Forbes is killed. Reagan is rescued from the electric chair by Mary, who helps to capture the culprit of the murder. Mary goes on to marry Reagan's son Tim, a young district attorney. Johnny Reagan
John Lee Reagan (May 31, 1926 – December 14, 2018) was an American college baseball coach. In 36 years (1958–1993) as head baseball coach at Murray State University, Reagan amassed a record of 776–508–11, including 11 Ohio Valley Conference championships. He is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference, Murray State, American Baseball Coaches Association, Missouri Athletic and Bismarck (Missouri) High School halls of fame. The baseball field at Murray State, along with the field at Bismarck High School, bears his name. Jack Reagan
John Edward Reagan (July 13, 1883 – May 18, 1941) was the father of Ronald Reagan, motion picture actor, who served as the 33rd governor of California and 40th president of the United States and radio station manager Neil Reagan. Ancestry Jack's paternal grandfather, Michael O'Regan, was a native of County Tipperary, Ireland. O'Regan worked as a tenant farmer during his early years in Ireland, before he moved to London in 1852. Whilst living there, O'Regan married an Irish refugee named Catherine Mulcahey, and anglicised his family surname to "Reagan".
