John Pritchett (bishop)
John Pritchett (died 1 January 1681) was an English churchman, bishop of Gloucester from 1672. Life He was the son of Walter Pritchett of Cowley Hall. He studied at the University of Oxford from 1622, graduating M.A. in 1629. He was collated to the joint rectory of St Andrew Undershaft-St Mary Axe in 1641, but was sequestrated during the First English Civil War.William Miller, ''Before the Fire of London'' (1867), p. 82. Under the Commonwealth he had a living at Harlington, Middlesex, but was replaced in 1658. He also held the curacy of the church at Harefield, Middlesex, but was removed from that position in favour of a Mr. Hoare. John Pritchett (born March 29, 1947) is an American sound engineer for film. He has been nominated for two Academy Awards in the category Best Sound for the films ''Road to Perdition'' and ''Memoirs of a Geisha''. He was nominated for two Cinema Audio Society Awards, winning best sound on ''The Road to Perdition''. He was also nominated for a BAFTA Award for his work on ''There Will Be Blood''. He has worked on over 100 films and television series since 1981, and is known for his work on such films as ''Dirty Dancing,'' ''Magnolia, There Will Be Blood'' and ''The Amazing Spider-Man.'' John Pritchett (golfer)
John D'Ewes Pritchett (1931 – 30 October 1958) was an English professional golfer. He was Boys Amateur Champion in 1948 and won the Daks Tournament in 1955. He was killed in a road traffic accident at the age of 27. Golf career Pritchett won the Boys Amateur Championship in 1948 beating David Reid, a Scot. Pritchett had been 5 down with 10 holes to play and was dormie-3. However he won the next four holes to win the championship at the 37th hole. Pritchett played for England against Scotland in the Boys International played prior to the championship. He attended Bishop Vesey's Grammar School in Sutton Coldfield. Pritchett became an assistant professional at Sunningdale Golf Club in 1949. In 1953, at the age of 21, he was a runner-up in the Silver King Tournament behind Flory Van Donck.
