John P. Donnelly
John P. Donnelly (July 24, 1886 – May 4, 1949) was an American lawyer and politician. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Donnelly received his bachelor's degree from Marquette University in 1907 and his law degree from Marquette University Law School in 1911. Donnelly practiced law in Milwaukee and served as an assistant district attorney for Milwaukee County from 1923 to 1932. Marquette University
Marquette University () is a Private university, private Society of Jesus, Jesuit research university in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Established by the Society of Jesus as Marquette College on August 28, 1881, it was founded by John Henni, John Martin Henni, the first Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Bishop of the diocese of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Marquette University Law School is the professional graduate law school of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is one of two law schools in Wisconsin and the only private law school in the state. Wisconsin State Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election. The Wisconsin Constitution limits the size of the State Assembly to between 54 and 100 members inclusive. Since 1973, the state has been divided into 99 Assembly districts apportioned amongst the state based on population as determined by the decennial census, for a total of 99 representatives.
