Johnny Mullins
John Christopher Mullins (born 6 November 1985) is an English former professional footballer who primarily played as a centre-back. Mullins started his career with Reading, but it was during two separate loan spells with Kidderminster Harriers that he first came to prominence, prompting Mansfield Town to sign him on his release from the Reading in 2006. He was with Mansfield for two seasons before moving to Stockport County. In 2010, he joined Rotherham United, and following his loan at Oxford United he was made Rotherham's captain as they finished runners-up in League Two. In July 2013, he joined Oxford United permanently, staying for three seasons before his transfer to Luton Town. John Lane Mullins
John Francis Lane Mullins PC, KCSG, JP (12 June 1857 – 24 February 1939) was an Australian politician and prominent Catholic layperson in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century New South Wales. He was born in Sydney to clerk James Mullins and Eliza Lane from County Cork, Ireland. He studied at the University of Sydney, becoming a solicitor in 1885. On 14 April 1885 he married Jane Hughes, with whom he had five children. He served on Sydney City Council from 1900 to 1904 and from 1906 to 1912, and in 1903 was appointed Knight of St Gregory and Privy Chamberlain to Pope Pius X. From 1917 to 1934 he was a Nationalist (later United Australia Party) member of the New South Wales Legislative Council. Lane Mullins died at Elizabeth Bay in 1939. John Lane Mullins was an avid book collector and was known as the Australian founding father of the Australian Bookplate Movement and was the first President of the Australian Ex Libris Society. John Mullins or Molyns (died 1591) was an English churchman and Marian exile, archdeacon of London from 1559. Life Born in Somerset, Mullins was made a probationary Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford in 1541; and proceeded B.A. 1541, M.A. 1545, D.D. 1565–6. At this period Magdalen and Christ Church were the two leading Protestant colleges of the University of Oxford. Magdalen had an evangelical group around Thomas Bentham, John Foxe, and Lawrence Humphrey. Mullins was involved in the 1550 petition against the Catholic President of Magdalen, Owen Oglethorpe, one of ten signatories who included also Walter Bower, Michael Reninger and Arthur Saul. In Queen Mary's reign Mullins left for Zürich, after Bishop Stephen Gardiner's visitation of Magdalen College. At Frankfurt he was reader in Greek to the exiled English.
