John Meyer (Illinois Politician)
John Meyer (February 27, 1852 – July 3, 1895) was an American lawyer and politician. Meyer was born in the Netherlands. He emigrated to the United States with his parents in 1867 and settled in Chicago, Illinois. He went to the public schools in Chicago. He studied law at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. He received his law degree in 1879 and was admitted to the Illinois bar. Meyer practiced law in Freeport, Illinois with his brother-in-law. Meyer served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1884 until his death in 1895. He served as speaker of the house in 1895 and was a Republican Party (United States), Republican. Meyer died at his brother-in-law's home in Freeport, Illinois.'Worn Out-Hon. John Austin Meyer
John Austin Meyer ( St. Marys September 18, 1919 - Pittsburgh January 28, 1997) was an aerial photographer in the US Army Air Forces during World War II and a professor of Nuclear and Radiation Chemistry. Life Meyer was born in St. Marys on September 18, 1919. In Saint Mary's Catholic High School he participated in camera club continuing into the towns camera club, and at the age of 21 he worked as a photographer and pursued studies in chemistry. Meyer enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps on March 18, 1941. After basic training in Langley Field, Virginia he was assigned to Dow Field, Bangor, Maine. After initially being put off by the army because he couldn't bring his photographic equipment, he befriending Corporal Busch who got promoted to Sergeant, and helped Meyer into the photography department. The Township of Wilmot is a Rural area, rural township (Canada), township in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo in southwestern Ontario, Canada. History Archaic and Woodland periods The earliest concrete evidence of human activity within Wilmot dates to around 8,300 years ago, in the Early Archaic period, though some artifacts are thought to be as old as 13,000 years. Early Archaic evidence is in the form of artifacts from the Hunsberger Creek site (Borden number, AiHd-83). John Meyer is a pioneer in the sound reinforcement industry. In 1979 he founded Meyer Sound Laboratories with his wife, Helen Meyer. Biography John Meyer grew up in Berkeley, California. His earliest involvement with audio was in the late 1950s at the radio station KPFA. He received a radiotelephone third class license at 12 years old, and a second class license when he was 15. He attended Oakland High which was one of the first schools in the country to have an audio department. In the audio department he would build consoles and other audio devices John Meyer started his career in 1967 working in a Berkeley hi-fi store doing custom installs. John Ambrose Meyer (May 15, 1899 – October 2, 1969) was a U.S. Representative from Maryland. Biography Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Meyer attended the grade schools and Loyola High School. During the First World War, he enlisted as a private in the Students' Army Training Corps at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., and served until honorably discharged from the United States Army. He was graduated from Loyola College of Baltimore in 1921, and from the University of Maryland School of Law of Baltimore in 1922. He was admitted to the bar in 1921 and commenced practice in Baltimore.
