John Mendelsohn (doctor)
John Mendelsohn (August 31, 1936 – January 7, 2019) was a president of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He was an internationally recognized leader in cancer research. Mendelsohn served as MD Anderson president from 1996 to 2011. When Ronald DePinho became president, he stepped down September 1, 2011. Mendelsohn remained on the faculty as co-director of the new Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute for Personalized Cancer Therapy. Also, he was a senior fellow in health and technology at the Baker Institute. Mendelsohn was only the third full-time president of MD Anderson. When he arrived, Mendelsohn's focus shifted from his expertise in laboratory research and clinical trials to leading an institution that employs about 18,000 people and serves 100,000 patients yearly, with a budget of more than $3.3 billion. John Ned Mendelsohn is an American writer, journalist, musician and graphic designer. Biography Mendelsohn, who has sometimes spelled his name as Mendelssohn with two s's, was born in Washington but moved with his parents to southern California aged six months. He lived briefly in the San Fernando Valley, but mostly on the coast, first in Playa del Rey, and later above Pacific Coast Highway just south of Topanga Canyon Boulevard. He studied at the University of California, Los Angeles, thus avoiding military service in the Vietnam War. Mendelsohn began contributing music criticism to the ''Los Angeles Times'' and ''Rolling Stone'' while still a student. Although he was an ardent champion of the Kinks and David Bowie, the best known of these early contributions are his unfavorable reviews of the first two Led Zeppelin albums, which were published in ''Rolling Stone'' in 1969. Jonathan Neil Mendelsohn, Baron Mendelsohn (born 30 December 1966) is a British lobbyist and Labour political organiser. He was appointed the Director of General Election Resources for the party in 2007. "Lobbygate" With Neal Lawson and Ben Lucas, he founded LLM Communications in 1997, a lobbying firm with easy access to the new Labour Government. He has been a spokesman and lobbyist for the gambling company PartyGaming. Jonathan Mendelsohn (born 19 June 1980) is an American singer and songwriter. He has worked with EDM DJs such as Hardwell, Brennan Heart and Blasterjaxx. Their collaborations "We Are Legends", "Imaginary" and "Ghost In The Machine" held the number one position on the respective Beatport Top 100, while the song "Till Tonight" with Laidback Luke was ranked in the dutch national charts.
