John Fraser (footballer, Born 1978)
John Fraser (born 17 January 1978 in Dunfermline) is a Scottish footballer. Career Fraser began his career with hometown club Dunfermline Athletic, before moving to Ross County Fraser then joined Clyde, where he was an integral part of the midfield which almost won promotion to the Scottish Premier League. Fraser was released by Clyde in 2004, and joined Stranraer, where he won promotion from the Scottish Second Division to the First, but he was released at the end of the season. He then joined Stirling Albion and once again won promotion from the Second Division, and subsequently released. Fraser joined Forfar Athletic in July 2007, and was made club captain. Dunfermline (; sco, Dunfaurlin, gd, Dùn Phàrlain) is a city, parish and former Royal Burgh, in Fife, Scotland, on high ground from the northern shore of the Firth of Forth. The city currently has an estimated population of 58,508. According to the National Records of Scotland, the Greater Dunfermline area has a population of 76,210. Scottish Second Division
The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). The effect of the reconstruction was to split these two divisions into three, with the top flight named the Premier Division, second tier the First Division, and a new third tier was created known as the Second Division. Stirling Albion Football Club is a Scottish football club based in the city of Stirling. The club was founded in 1945 following the demise of King's Park after World War II. The club currently competes in Scottish League Two as a member of the Scottish Professional Football League. Its highest league position came in 1958–59 with a 12th-placed position in the top flight.
