John Donovan (Australian Politician)
John Rawdon Donovan (24 October 1902 – 12 February 1976) was an Australian politician. He was a Labor Party member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1930 until 1932, representing the electorate of Murray. Donovan was born at Deniliquin, and educated at Deniliquin Intermediate School and by night school. He joined the Postmaster General's Department in 1917 as a messenger boy and later, a telegraphist. He left the postal service in 1926, taking over the license of his family's hotel, the Edward River Hotel at Deniliquin, until his election to parliament. He was involved in local politics, serving as an alderman of the Deniliquin Council from 1920 until 1930. Donovan was also a prominent member of the local sporting community, and served as secretary of the Deniliquin Athletics Club and the Deniliquin Licensed Victuallers Race Club at the time of his election. John Donovan (American Football)
John Donovan (born September 11, 1974) is an American football coach who was most recently the senior analyst for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He has been an assistant in the NFL and in four of the Power Five college football conferences (ACC, SEC, Big-10 and PAC-12). He was a defensive back at Johns Hopkins from 1993–1996. Coaching career Assistant coach Early years Donovan played three years for the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays football team. During his freshmen year, the Defensive Coordinator was Chip Kelly, and Donovan often served as the scout team quarterback. He later started as a defensive back. John Anthony Donovan (August 5, 1911 – September 18, 1991) was a Canadian-born prelate of the Catholic Church. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Toledo in Ohio from 1967 to 1980. He previously served as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Detroit in Michigan from 1954 to 1967. John Thomas Donovan (1878 – 17 January 1922) was an Irish barrister and nationalist politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1914 to 1918. Born in Belfast, Donovan was called to the bar at the King's Inns in 1914. Johnny Donovan
Johnny Donovan is an American radio announcer and former producer at New York's WABC (AM). He grew up in Poughkeepsie, New York, nicknamed "Sarge," after his father's rank in the United States Army during World War II. A radio enthusiast from an early age (with an amateur radio station K2KOQ in a corner of the basement), he became a DJ ("Large Sarge") on WHVW in nearby Hyde Park, after helping build the station. He went on to stations in Kingston (WBAZ) and Binghamton (WENE), New York and Atlantic City, New Jersey (WMID) before landing in New York City, first at WOR-FM, and finally at WABC (at the time the "Holy Grail" for DJs), where he preceded Dan Ingram on the air.
