John Karl Daniels
John Karl Daniels (May 14, 1875 – March 8, 1978) was a Norwegian-American sculptor. He was born in Norway in 1874, and immigrated with his family to the United States in 1884. He attended the Mechanics Arts High School in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he first received formal training for his craft as a sculptor. He became a pupil of Knut Okerberg in Norway, and of Andrew O'Connor in Paris, France. He was based in Minnesota, where most of his work can be found. His studio was a former icehouse, located behind the George W. and Nancy B. Van Dusen House at 1900 LaSalle Avenue in Minneapolis. He created war memorials for Grafton, North Dakota and Long Prairie, Minnesota. His granite ''Pioneers'' sculpture was given to the City of Minneapolis by the family of Charles Alfred Pillsbury during the Great Depression. John Giles Upton Daniels (born 25 January 1942) is a former English cricketer. Daniels was a right-handed batsman. He was born in Birmingham, Warwickshire and educated at Winchester College, where he represented the college cricket team. Daniels entered the Royal Armoured Corps with the rank of second lieutenant in 1961. He later made his only first-class cricket appearance for Gloucestershire against Oxford University in 1964. In this match, he scored 15 runs in Gloucestershire's first-innings, before being dismissed by Ted Fillary, while in their second-innings he was dismissed for 4 runs by Tim Razzall. In 1964, he made a single first-class appearance for the Combined Services against Oxford University. He scored 10 runs in the Combined Services first-innings, before being dismissed by John Martin, while in their second-innings he was dismissed for 22 runs by Tim Razzall. Johnathan Daniels (born 1945), known professionally as John Daniels, is an American former actor, songwriter, producer and club owner. Biography Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, Daniels attended Butler University. Club ownership ''Maverick's Flat'' used to be an Arthur Murray dancing school. It was outfitted with fluffy sofas and glass tile table tops in a late 1960s style. Jon Daniels (born August 24, 1977) is an American baseball executive senior advisor for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He recently served as the President of Baseball Operations for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB) and then released from the position on August 17, 2022. When hired at age 28, he was the youngest GM in Major League Baseball at the time. Early life and education Daniels was born and raised to a Jewish family in Queens, New York. He attended Hunter College High School and Cornell University, majored in Applied Economics and Management, and joined the Delta Chi Fraternity. One of his classmates was A. J. Preller.
