Jack Bond (cricketer)
John David Bond, (6 May 1932 – 11 July 2019) was an English cricketer who played for Lancashire and Nottinghamshire. Born in Kearsley, Lancashire, England, Bond began his cricket career playing for Walkden, where he was raised, in the Bolton Cricket League. He was a right-handed middle order batsman and joined Lancashire in 1955, being assured of a regular place in a strong batting line-up in only a few seasons, among them 1962, when he scored 2,125 runs at an average of more than 36. But by the mid-1960s, he was second eleven captain and an irregular first-class cricketer. Success with the second team, though, led to an unexpected call-up to be first team captain from 1968 and over the next five seasons, Bond led a previously under-achieving side to a run of success in one-day cricket competitions that has not been equalled. John Linnell Bond
John Linnell Bond (14 September 1764 – 6 November 1837) was an English architect. Life Bond was educated at the Royal Academy, where he gained a gold medal in 1786. He occasionally exhibited at the academy up to 1797. After devoting some years to the study of ancient architecture in Italy and Greece he set up as an architect in London, and designed several large mansions. Following a fire at Exton Hall in 1810, its owner, Sir Gerard Noel, moved into a nearby 17th century house, and commissioned Bond to make alterations. Bond also designed the Stamford Hotel, at Stamford, Lincolnshire for Noel. It is in the Greek revival style, with a giant order derived from the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates. Many other designs which he made for Noel were never carried out. Bond also prepared an architectural design for the Strand Bridge - later known as Waterloo Bridge - in collaboration with the engineer George Dodd. The project was later taken over by John Rennie. John Adikes Bond (born January 14, 1955) is an author, attorney, poker player, political activist and real estate developer born in Jamaica, New York. He grew up in Massapequa and Port Washington, New York before moving to South Florida in 1972. He currently resides between Dania Beach, Florida and Andros Island, the Bahamas. He is the eldest of five children; his brother James Alexander Bond is a theatre director in New York City. John Bond LL.D. (1612–1676) was an English jurist, Puritan clergyman, member of the Westminster Assembly, and Master of Trinity Hall, Cambridge. Life He was born at Chard, in Somerset; his father was Denis Bond. He was educated at Dorchester under John White, and afterwards entered at St. Catharine's College, Cambridge, of which he became a fellow. He took his B.A. degree in 1631, became M.A. in 1635, and LL.D. ten years later. In 1643 he became a member of the Westminster Assembly, and in December 1645 succeeded to the mastership of the Savoy. In the same year, John Selden having declined the mastership of Trinity Hall, Dr. Robert King was chosen by the Fellows: but, Parliament interposing on behalf of Bond, he was elected Master on 7 March 1646.
