Johan Walem
Johan Walem (born 1 February 1972) is a Belgian football manager and former player. He previously worked as head coach of the Kortrijk. Walem was considered one of the best Belgian midfielders of his generation. He gained 36 caps for the national team, scoring two goals. Career Walem was born in Soignies, Belgium. His former clubs are Molenbeek (as a youngster), Anderlecht, Udinese, Parma (on loan), Standard Liège, Torino and Catania. At Udinese, he was nicknamed ''Il Geometra'' (The Geometer) as he was very precise in his passes. His partnership with German striker Oliver Bierhoff was also praised at that time. After he retired he has worked as TV consultant for Belgacom TV and as youth-coach at Udinese Calcio. Walem took over the job as head coach of the Belgium national under-21 football team after the 2011–12 season. Soignies
Soignies (; nl, Zinnik, ; pcd, Sougniye; wa, Sougniye) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. It consists of the following districts: Casteau, Chaussée-Notre-Dame-Louvignies, Horrues, Naast, Neufvilles, Soignies and Thieusies. Casteau is known worldwide because SHAPE, the military headquarters of NATO, has been based at the village since 1967. The name of Soignies comes from the Latin word ''suniacum'', which means "on the Senne". The spring of the Senne is near Soignies. After Soignies, the river flows through Brussels. The Belgian professional football awards is a collection of awards given at the end of each season since 1983. Back then, the only award was the Manager of the Year. There are now 5 main awards: Footballer, Footballer (second division), Goalkeeper, Manager and Referee. UEFA Intertoto Cup
The UEFA Intertoto Cup (from la, Inter, 'between' + german: toto, 'betting pool'),Most precisely, from (football pool); cf. often abbreviated and more known in the German-speaking world as UI Cup and originally called the International Football Cup, was a summer football competition. The competition was discontinued after the 2008 tournament. Teams who originally would have entered the Intertoto Cup now directly enter the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League from this point. The Belgian Super Cup ( nl, Belgische Supercup, ; french: Supercoupe de Belgique; german: Belgischer Fußball-Super Cup), ''Pro League Supercup'', is a Belgian club competition played as a single match between the Belgian First Division A champions (also received the Super Cup host) and the Belgian Cup winners. If both teams are the same, the Belgian Cup runners-up participates as the second club.
