Johan Andersen (politician)
Johan Andersen (5 May 1902 – 11 May 1968) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Holmestrand. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from the Market towns of Vestfold county in 1945, and was re-elected on five occasions. A year before the end of the last term, he died and was replaced by Willy Jansson. On the local level he was a member of Horten is a town and municipality in Vestfold in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway—located along the Oslofjord. Norwegian Labour Party

Holmestrand
is a town and municipality in Vestfold in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Holmestrand. The town was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The neighboring rural municipality of Botne was merged into the municipality of Holmestrand on 1 January 1964. Sande municipality merged into Holmestrand on January 1, 2020. The municipality of Hof was merged into Holmestrand on January 1, 2018. The town lies by the Oslofjord and is built beside the water. It was granted municipal status in 1752, but had been a harbour for exporting of timber/lumber since around 1550. It borders the Oslo Fjord in the east, Tønsberg in the south, and it shares a short border with Larvik in the south-west. It is bordered by Viken in the west and north. The Market towns of Vestfold county ( no, Kjøpstedene i Vestfold fylke) was an electoral district for parliamentary elections in Norway. It comprised the market towns ( no, kjøpsteder) of Holmestrand, Horten, Tønsberg, Sandefjord and Larvik in Vestfold county. The district was established ahead of the 1921 Norwegian parliamentary election following the change from single member constituencies to plural member constituencies in 1919. Following changes in the national policy on market towns in 1952, these electoral districts were abolished ahead of the 1953 Norwegian parliamentary election. Instead, each county became one electoral district, and for election purposes the towns were integrated into their respective counties. Willy Jansson
Willy Jansson (13 May 1927 – 18 September 2019) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. Jansson was born in Sandar. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Vestfold in 1969, but was not re-elected in 1973. He had previously served as a deputy representative during the terms 1961–1965 and 1965–1969. From May 1968 he served as a regular representative, filling in for Johan Andersen who had died. On the local level he was a member of Sandefjord municipality council from 1955 to 1971. Willy Jansson died on 18 September 2019, at the age of 92. Horten
is a town and municipality in Vestfold in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway—located along the Oslofjord. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Horten. The municipality also includes the town of Åsgårdstrand and the villages of Borre, Skoppum, and Nykirke. The town of Horten was separated from the municipality of Borre to become a municipality of its own in 1858. The neighboring municipalities of Borre and Horten were merged back together on 1 January 1988. The name of the new united municipality was first ''Borre'', but after a referendum it was changed to ''Horten'' on 1 June 2002. Vestfold Politicians
Vestfold is a traditional region, a former county and a current electoral district in Eastern Norway. In 2020 the county became part of the much larger county of Vestfold og Telemark. Located on the western shore of the Oslofjord, it bordered the previous Buskerud and Telemark counties. The county administration was located in Tønsberg, Norway's oldest city, and the largest city is Sandefjord. With the exception of the city-county of Oslo, Vestfold was the smallest county in Norway by area. Vestfold was the only county in which all municipalities had declared Bokmål to be their sole official written form of the Norwegian language.
