Joey Jones
Joseph Patrick Jones (born 4 March 1955) is a Welsh former international football full-back who most notably played for Liverpool, with whom he won two European Cups. Club career Wrexham Jones was born in Llandudno, and joined Wrexham in 1971. He made his debut at the age of 17 in a Welsh Cup tie against local rivals Chester City; Wrexham lost 1–0. He did, however, win the Welsh Cup with the club in 1975, when they beat Cardiff City in the final. Jones established himself as a right-back and helped Wrexham to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup in 1974, the first time the club had reached that stage. Liverpool Jones left Wrexham to join his boyhood heroes, Liverpool (he had a Liverbird tattoo, which he later had removed for medical reasons, on his forearm), when Bob Paisley paid £110,000 for his services in July 1975. Joey Jones (American Football)
Joseph Russell Jones (born October 29, 1962) is an American football coach and former player. He is a former special teams coordinator at Mississippi State. He was not retained on Mike Leach's staff after Joe Moorhead was fired. Jones served as the head football coach the University of South Alabama from 2008 to 2017. Playing career Jones is a graduate of Mobile's Murphy High School. He played college football for coach Bear Bryant at the University of Alabama. Jones lettered with the Tide from 1979 to 1983, graduating with a degree in business administration. As a wide receiver, he tallied 71 receptions, 1,386 yards and 15 touchdowns. He ranked third among Alabama's career touchdown receivers and seventh in career receiving yards. He was named All- SEC as a senior and chosen to participate in the Senior Bowl. Joseph Dylan Jones (born 15 April 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for National League side Solihull Moors. Despite being born in England, he won caps for Northern Ireland up until under-21 level. He spent time in the youth-teams at Arsenal, Leicester City and Yeovil Town, before signing with Woking in July 2014 after a successful loan spell He spent four years with the club, before joining Eastleigh in June 2018.
