Joel Bernstein
Joel Bernstein is a photographer, guitarist, and record producer based in Oakland, California. His photographs have appeared as the album covers to, among others, ''After the Gold Rush'', ''4 Way Street'', ''Rita Coolidge'', ''Wind on the Water'', '' Running on Empty'', ''CSN'', ''Bob Dylan at Budokan'', ''Rust Never Sleeps'', '' Shadows and Light'', and ''Hard Promises''. His photographs have been published in ''Time'', ''The New York Times'', and'' Rolling Stone'', among other publications, and there have been retrospective exhibits of his work in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and London. ''CSNY 1974'' is the nineteenth album by Crosby, Stills, & Nash, their seventh in the CSNY quartet configuration, and their fifth live album, the third as a foursome. Issued on Rhino Records in 2014, it consists of concert material recorded in 1974 on the band's tour during the summer of that year. It was issued in several formats: a standard compact disc box set consisting of three audio discs and a standard DVD; as one pure audio Blu-ray disc and a Blu-ray DVD; and a more expensively packaged limited deluxe edition consisting of the material on six vinyl records along with the Blu-ray discs and a coffee table book. A box set or (its original name) boxed set is a set of items (for example, a compilation of books, musical recordings, films or television programs) traditionally packaged in a box and offered for sale as a single unit. Music Artists and bands with an extremely long and successful career often have anthology or "essential" collections of their boxes of music released as box sets. These often include rare and never-before-released tracks.
