Joseph Michael Allen (born 14 March 1990) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for EFL Championship club Swansea City. Allen began his career at Swansea City, making his first-team debut in January 2007 at age 16. He played in 150 matches across all competitions in six years at the Liberty Stadium, also having a loan at Wrexham. During his time at Swansea, they won two promotions, going from League One to the Premier League. He also represented Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics. In the same year, he joined Liverpool for £15 million, signed by his former Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers. Allen spent four seasons at Anfield, making 132 appearances. In July 2016, he signed for Stoke City for a £13 million transfer fee. After making over 220 appearances for the Potters, he returned to Swansea in 2022. Joseph Allen (30 December 1909 – October 1978) was a professional footballer who played for Northfleet, Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers, Mansfield Town; Racing Club de Roubaix and FC Nancy. Football career Allen played for local club Bilsthorpe Colliery before joining Tottenham Hotspur for his first spell at White Hart Lane in 1932. Joe Allen (born 1955) is a British artist. He is known for a series of large-sized paintings on wood and for small portraits of artists. Life and work Allen was born in Airdrie, Scotland. When attending school he took private lessons from C. M. Cameron, a Scottish painter of landscapes and also attended art classes at the Glasgow School of Art. He started his vocational education at St Martins School of Art in London and gained his degree as Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Fine Art at the Camberwell School of Art. Subsequently he gained the Master of Art Degree at the Royal Academy School in London. In 1983 he started lecturing at Art Colleges in Newcastle and London, later he taught at the Centro de Arte Verrochio near Siena. He authored ''People Wasn't Made to Burn: A True Story of Race, Murder, and Justice in Chicago'' () published by Haymarket Books in 2011. His latest book is ''The Package King: A Rank and File History of United Parcel Service'' (2016). Joe Allen (November 8, 1947 – May 20, 1997) was an American basketball player who played for Bradley University in the late 1960s. A center, Allen led the Braves in rebounding and scoring each season of varsity basketball. While averaging 10.9 rebounds per game, Allen also averaged 22.2 points per game. During his senior season, Allen would lead the nation in field goal percentage shooting over 65% from the field (.655). Joseph Alan Cagle, known professionally as Joey Allen, is best known as the lead guitarist of the American glam metal band Warrant. Allen was born as Joseph Alan Cagle on June 23, 1964, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and grew up in Irvine, California. Joey Allen is a New Zealand sailor who competed in multiple America's Cups. Born in Te Awamutu, Allen sailed in the 1981–82 Whitbread Round the World Race on the winner, '' Flyer II''. In 1984 Allen finished second in the 470 World Championships alongside Chris Dickson. He crewed boats that won the ISAF Open Match Racing World Championship in 1988 and 1990.
