Joana Manta (born 26 July 1977) is a former professional tennis player from Switzerland. Tennis career Manta began competing on the ITF circuit in 1991 while still a junior, later partnering with Ludmila Richterová to win the girls' doubles title at the 1993 Australian Open. At the age of 15 she debuted for the Switzerland Fed Cup team in 1993, featuring in the doubles rubbers of a World Group tie against the United States and a play-off against Peru. In 1995 she played in another three Fed Cup ties, with both of her two wins coming in doubles, teaming up with former junior partner Martina Hingis. Leonardo Manta
Leonardo Manta (born 5 September 1950) is an Italian-born Swiss former tennis player. Manta was a Davis Cup player for Switzerland, with an appearance in a tie against Spain in Basel in 1971. Partnering with Matthias Werren, he competed in the doubles rubber against Juan Gisbert Sr. and Manuel Orantes. His best result in singles came at the 1971 Swiss Indoors. He reached the final but eventually lost to Jean-Claude Barclay. Both his son Lorenzo and his daughter Joana followed his steps and became professional tennis players. Lorenzo Manta (born 16 September 1974 in Winterthur) is a former tennis player from Switzerland, who turned professional in 1992. The right-hander reached his highest ATP singles ranking of World No. 103 in June 2000. His best achievement in the grand slam tournaments was reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon in 1999.
