The film stars Raphaël Lacaille as Jonathan, a teenager who wants to emulate his older brother Thomas (Jean-Sébastien Courchesne) and become a player in the world of illegal car racing. Despite not yet having a driver's license, he enters a race and loses, getting into trouble as he does not have money to pay; Thomas must bail him out by racing himself, but is gravely injured in an accident. Maxime Giroux (born 16 April 1976) is a film director from Quebec, Canada. Giroux was born in Montreal, Quebec. He has directed several short films, videoclips and commercial videos. In 2006, his film '' The Days (Les Jours)'' won the prize for best short film at the Toronto International Film Festival, and in 2007 his film ''Red (Le Rouge au sol)'' won the award for Best Live Action Short Drama at the 27th Genie Awards. The Borsos Competition is the main awards program for Canadian feature films screening at the annual Whistler Film Festival.
