Jimmy Lawson (English Footballer)
James Joseph Lawson (born 11 December 1947) is an English former professional footballer who played as a winger in the Football League for Middlesbrough, Huddersfield Town and Halifax Town, where he later became player-manager. Personal life Lawson was a personal tailor when he was at Huddersfield Town in the 1970s. He is now a salesman for STILL Materials Handling Ltd. Middlesbrough ( ) is a town on the southern bank of the River Tees in North Yorkshire, England. It is near the North York Moors national park. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. It was the top-level football league in England from its foundation until 1992, when the top 22 clubs split from it to form the Premier League.
