James Jackson (26 March 1931 – 2 March 2013) was a Scottish footballer who played mainly for Notts County. Jackson made over 120 appearances for Notts County, scoring 50 goals, in two spells with the club. In between, he briefly played in Canada for Toronto. Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them. As with any attacking player, the role of the forward relies heavily on being able to create space for attack.
