Jimmy Evans (politician)
James Harold Evans (March 28, 1939 – February 15, 2021) was an American lawyer and politician who served as the attorney general of Alabama from 1991 to 1995. Evans was born in Montgomery, Alabama. He went to Huntingdon College and Auburn University. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Evans was also a lawyer in Montgomery, Alabama and a judge for Montgomery County, Alabama. Huntingdon College Alumni
Huntingdon is a market town in the Huntingdonshire district in Cambridgeshire, England. The town was given its town charter by King John in 1205. It was the county town of the historic county of Huntingdonshire. Oliver Cromwell was born there in 1599 and became one of its Members of Parliament (MP) in 1628. Montgomery, Alabama
Montgomery is the capital city of the U.S. state of Alabama and the county seat of Montgomery County. Named for the Irish soldier Richard Montgomery, it stands beside the Alabama River, on the coastal Plain of the Gulf of Mexico. In the 2020 census, Montgomery's population was 200,603. It is the second most populous city in Alabama, after Huntsville, and is the 119th most populous in the United States. The Montgomery Metropolitan Statistical Area's population in 2020 was 386,047; it is the fourth largest in the state and 142nd among United States metropolitan areas.
