Jim Sullivan (Wisconsin Politician)
James Owen "Jim" Sullivan (born December 26, 1967) is an American lawyer and Democratic politician from Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. He was a member of the Wisconsin Senate, representing the 5th Senate district during the 2007–2008 and 2009–2010 sessions. Political campaigns Sullivan entered politics in 1996 by running unsuccessfully for a seat on the Milwaukee County Board. In April 2000, Sullivan won a seat on the Wauwatosa Common Council. He was re-elected as alderman in 2004. In 2006, he defeated Senator Thomas G. Reynolds (R-West Allis) by 3.5 percent of the vote. Wisconsin's 5th State Senate District
The 5th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district is composed of parts of western Milwaukee County, and eastern Waukesha County. It includes the cities of Brookfield, New Berlin, and Wauwatosa, as well as most of the city of West Allis. Current elected officials Rob Hutton is the senator representing the 5th district since January 2023. West Allis
West Allis is a city in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. A suburb of Milwaukee, it is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The population was 60,325 at the 2020 census. History The name West Allis derives from Edward P. Allis, whose Edward P. Allis Company was a large Milwaukee-area manufacturing firm in the late 19th century. In 1901, the Allis company became Allis-Chalmers, and in 1902 built a large new manufacturing plant west of its existing plant. The locale in which the new plant was constructed was at the time called North Greenfield, and prior to the 1880s had been called Honey Creek. With the building of the western Allis plant, the area was incorporated as the Village of West Allis, and it became the City of West Allis in 1906. Lee Holloway (December 4, 1946 - March 14, 2018) was an American social worker and politician who served two terms as chairman of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. Christopher Seton Abele (born January 28, 1967) is an American businessman and Democratic Party politician. He served as the 6th Milwaukee County Executive from 2011 to 2020. Abele is the son of American businessman John Abele, the co-founder of Boston Scientific. Abele serves as a trustee of the Argosy Foundation, a charitable trust established with an endowment from his father. Jeff Stone (born January 28, 1961) is an American businessman and former politician. A Republican, he was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1998 through 2013. Biography Stone was born in Topeka, Kansas. He was raised in Zanesville, Ohio, and graduated from West Muskingum High School before returning to Topeka to attend Washburn University. The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (G.A.B.) was a regulatory agency for the State of Wisconsin which administered and enforced Wisconsin law pertaining to campaign finance, elections, ethics and lobbying.
