Jim Lynch
James Robert Lynch (August 28, 1945 – July 21, 2022) was an American football linebacker. Lynch played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, where he was named an All-American and won the Maxwell Award in 1966. Lynch is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. Lynch went on to play for the Kansas City Chiefs of the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. He was an AFL All-Star in 1968 and a member of the Super Bowl IV championship team. Early life Lynch was born in Lima, Ohio. He graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School in 1963. Lynch played for the football and basketball teams. College career Lynch played college football at the University of Notre Dame. Leading the Fighting Irish in tackles with 108 in 1965 and 106 in 1966, he was the defensive captain of the national champion 1966 Irish team. Jim Lynch (hurler)
Jim Lynch (born 1943) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a full-back and as a full-forward for the Kilkenny senior team. Lynch made his first appearance for the team during the 1964 championship and became a regular player over the next few years. During that time he won one All-Ireland winner's medal, three Leinster winner's medals and one National League winners' medal. At club level, Lynch enjoyed a successful career with Mooncoin, winning a county club championship winners' medals in 1965. The Great Britain Speedway Team (also known as GB Speedway Team) is one of the major teams in international speedway. The team is managed by former Great Britain riders Oliver Allen and Simon Stead, and captained by the 2018 Speedway World Champion Tai Woffinden. James Robert Lynch (born 11 September 1947) is a New Zealand cartoonist and conservationist. Lynch was born in 1947 in Whangarei. He grew up on a farm in Hukerenui. His first cartoons were published in the '' Taranaki Daily News'' in 1979 (appearing weekly until 1986) and he produced fortnightly cartoons for the ''New Zealand Times'' from 1981 to 1985. He was the runner-up in the New Zealand Cartoonist of the Year category at the Qantas Press Awards in 1983. Lynch's cartoons appeared under the name 'James' because "I didn't want to go to my boss and ask if I could have secondary employment as a political cartoonist". Lynch is possibly better known as a conservationist and founder of Zealandia. He was the President of the Wellington Branch of Forest and Bird from 1991.
