Jim Brown (Ontario Politician)
James Gary Brown (July 23, 1943 – January 31, 2020) was a politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Progressive Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1995 to 1999 who represented the east Toronto riding of Scarborough West. Background Brown was educated at York University and Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree, an MBA, and a diploma in Business Administration. He was the office manager of the ''Toronto Telegram'' in 1971, and became a founding member of the ''Toronto Sun Publishing Co.'' the same year. He was a lecturer at Ryerson and Seneca College and the University of Toronto from 1971 to 1974, and was later a prominent member of Normandy Manufacturing and Republic Goldfields, Minefinders Corp. Scarborough—Agincourt is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada that has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 1987. The riding covers the northwest of the Scarborough part of Toronto. Gerry Phillips
Gerry Phillips (born September 11, 1940) is a former politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario who represented the eastern Toronto riding of Scarborough—Agincourt from 1987 to 2011. He served as a cabinet minister in the governments of David Peterson and Dalton McGuinty. Background Phillips was educated at the University of Western Ontario's School of Business, and worked as a managing consultant before entering public life. 1999 Ontario General Election
The 1999 Ontario general election was held on June 3, 1999 to elect members of the 37th Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, Canada. The governing Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, led by Premier Mike Harris, was re-elected to a second majority government. It was the first election in which the Legislative Assembly of Ontario had a reduced number of seats. Previously, the province's riding boundaries were different from those used in federal elections. In the 1999 election, for the first time, provincial riding boundaries were redrawn to precisely match federal ridings, resulting in 27 fewer seats — and 27 fewer Members of Provincial Parliament — in the legislature. Antonio Peter "Toni" Skarica is a former politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Progressive Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1995 to 2000 who represented the Hamilton area ridings of Wentworth North and Wentworth—Burlington. A squeegee man or squeegee woman, squeegee kid (Canada), squeegee boy (Baltimore), squeegee punk (Montreal), squeegee merchant (London), squeegee guy or squeegee bandit is a person who, using a washcloth and squeegee, wipes windshields of cars stopped in traffic, in exchange for money. Robert "Bob" Wood, (born October 10, 1949) is a former politician in Ontario, Canada.
