Leroy Jevon Carter (born September 14, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the West Virginia Mountaineers. A point guard for the Mountaineers, Carter was known as one of the top defensive players in college basketball, winning the NABC Defensive Player of the Year and the Lefty Driesell Award after both his junior and senior seasons, and winning the inaugural Naismith Defensive Player of the Year in his final season. Jevon Holland (born March 3, 2000) is an American football safety for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oregon, and was drafted by the Dolphins in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Early years Holland was born in Coquitlam, British Columbia, while his father played and coached in the Canadian Football League. Holland moved to the Bay Area and lived in Pleasanton, California. Holland attended Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland, California. He played defensive back and wide receiver in high school. As a senior he had 34 tackles and five interceptions on defense and 35 receptions for 1,012 yards and 12 touchdowns as a receiver. Holland played in the 2018 Polynesian Bowl. Jevon Kearse (born September 3, 1976), nicknamed "the Freak", is a former American football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for eleven seasons during the late 1990s and 2000s. Kearse played college football for the University of Florida, where he received All-American honors and was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 1998. Kearse was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the first round pick of the 1999 NFL Draft. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles for four seasons between his two stints with the Titans. During his first five years with the Titans, he was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1999. Thomas Jevon (1652–1688) was an English playwright, and one of the first English Harlequins. He began his career as a dancing master, but worked his way onto the stage, and played leading low-comedy parts in London between 1673 and 1688. His brother-in-law was the English playwright and poet laureate Thomas Shadwell. Jevon's only published play, the farce '' The Devil of a Wife, or, a Comical Transformation'' (with a plot borrowed from a Philip Sidney story, and possibly some assistance from Shadwell), was performed in 1686 at Dorset Garden, where Jevon usually acted. Rachel Jevon (1627 – ?) was an English poet of the mid-17th century. She is known for her poem ''Exultationis carmen'', published in Latin and English versions in 1660. Jevon was probably born in Broom, Worcester, where she was baptised on 23 January 1627. Her father, Daniell Jevon (died 1654), was the rector of Broom, and Rachel's mother was called Elizabeth. According to a petition presented to the king in 1662, Rachel's father was a Royalist supporter who had been imprisoned for his loyalty. Very little else is known about her life. Jevon Crudup (born April 27, 1972) is an American former professional basketball player and coach. After playing college basketball at the University of Missouri, Crudup was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 1994 NBA draft. During his senior year, Crudup helped lead Missouri to the Elite Eight, tying the school's deepest NCAA Tournament run ever. However, shortly after that season, Missouri discovered that Crudup had accepted thousands of dollars in inducements from a middleman working for agents hoping to sign Crudup if he was selected in the 1994 NBA draft. Missouri didn't dispute that Crudup had received the payments, but contended that it didn't know about them.
