Jerry L. O'Connor
Jerry L. O'Connor (born September 14, 1953) is an American Republican politician and retired banker from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 52nd Assembly district since January 2023. He was the president and C.E.O. of the National Exchange Bank & Trust of Waupun, Wisconsin, from 1998 until his retirement in 2020. Biography Jerry O'Connor was born in southwest Wisconsin and moved to Lomira, Wisconsin, during high school. After graduating from high school, he attended Minnesota Bible College and went on to earn his master's degree from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He subsequently moved to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, which has been his primary residence ever since. Wisconsin's 52nd Assembly District
The 52nd Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in eastern Wisconsin, the district comprises part of southern Outagamie County, Wisconsin, Outagamie County, including most of the city of Appleton, Wisconsin, Appleton and the villages of Eden, Wisconsin, Eden and Oakfield, Wisconsin, Oakfield. Wisconsin Elections Commission
The Wisconsin Elections Commission is a bipartisan regulatory agency of the State of Wisconsin established to administer and enforce election laws in the state. The Wisconsin Elections Commission was established by a 2015 act of the Wisconsin Legislature which also established the Wisconsin Ethics Commission to administer campaign finance, ethics, and lobbying laws. The two commissions began operation on June 30, 2016, replacing the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB), which was abolished. The Government Accountability Board had been established in 2008 to replace the Wisconsin Elections Board and Wisconsin Ethics Board. Lomira, Wisconsin
Lomira is a village in Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,430 at the 2010 census. The village is located within the Town of Lomira, at the crossroads of State Highways 49, 67 and 175, and Interstate 41. History The early history of the Village of Lomira is closely interwoven with the Town of Lomira. Prior to the arrival of white settlers, the son of Chief Black Hawk supposedly camped in the vicinity while blazing a trail from Milwaukee to Green Bay. There is no record of a settlement at Lomira prior to 1849. It was originally called Springfield, but in 1849, the name was changed to Lomira. Local lore says the village is a namesake of Elmira Schoonover, daughter of Sam Schoonover, an early settler. The first Post Office was established on May 11, 1849. A petition for incorporation of the village of Lomira was made to the circuit court of Dodge County on March 24, 1899.
