Jeremy Dunn Jackson (born October 16, 1980) is an American actor and singer. He is best known for his role as Hobie Buchannon on the television show ''Baywatch''. Career Television Jackson appeared in 159 episodes of the TV series ''Baywatch'', more than any other actor apart from David Hasselhoff, playing Hobie Buchannon from season 2 through season 10 (1991–1999). Music career Jackson was introduced to music by David Hasselhoff, who starred on ''Baywatch'', on which Jackson appeared. Jackson later supported Hasselhoff on his 1993 European tour and Jackson was signed to Edel Records by Peter Lopez. An Australian musician, Mark Holden, who was working with Hasselhoff, wrote a number of songs and produced the album. Jeremy Bradford Cook Jackson (born November 13, 1942) is an American ecologist, paleobiologist, and conservationist. He is an emeritus professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, senior scientist emeritus at the Smithsonian Institution, and visiting scientist at the American Museum of Natural History Center for Biodiversity and Conservation. He studies threats and solutions to human impacts on the environment and the ecology and evolution of tropical seas. Jackson has more than 170 scientific publications and 11 books, with nearly 40,000 citations listed on Google Scholar. Jeremy Jackson is an American author. He has written two novels, ''Life at These Speeds'' (2002), about a high school boy who finds his life through long-distance running and track, and ''In Summer'' (2004), with a similar premise, about a high school graduate caught between his adolescence and adulthood. The manuscript of ''Life at These Speeds'' won a James A. Michener/Copernicus Society of America Fellowship in 2000 and was later a selection for Barnes & Noble's Discover Great New Writers. The novel became a feature film, ''1 Mile to You'', starring Billy Crudup and Graham Rogers (2017). Jeremy Rea Jackson (born September 19, 1982) is an American former mixed martial artist from California. Career Jackson's first professional MMA fight was on September 9, 2001, against Jake Shields in the Gladiator Challenge 6: Caged Beasts. Jackson has fought in The Ultimate Fighting Championship, Kage Kombat, IFC, King of the Cage, Ultimate Athlete, World Extreme Cagefighting, Gladiator Challenge, Ring Of Honor, and Total Combat. Jeremy Jackson had a trilogy with Nick Diaz. He won via knockout in their first fight, the trilogy ended with him losing two straight to Diaz, the latter loss coming at UFC 44: Undisputed. He competed as a welterweight on The Ultimate Fighter 4 on Spike TV, but was sent home before having a chance to fight after violating the rules of the show.
