Jens Gram
Jens Gram (15 November 1840 – 22 January 1912) was a Norwegian industrialist. Personal life He was born in Ask as a son of Johan Georg Boll Gram and Fredrikke Severine Mathea Stabell. He was a brother of Andrea Gram, grandson of Jens Jensen Gram and a first cousin of Gregers Winther Wulfsberg Gram. Through his sister Nicoline he was a brother-in-law of Eilif Peterssen. In July 1867 in Vadernes he married Julie Munch (1843–1928), daughter of P. A. Munch. They had two notable children, Johan Fredrik Gram and Mads Gram. Through Mads he was the father-in-law of art historian Irma Ingertha Gram. Career He enrolled as a student in 1859, and also studied forestry in Germany a couple of years. When returning home he worked as manager of the family-owned forests. In 1871 he moved to Drammen, where he was the vice consul for Denmark from 1870 to 1906. Skoger
Skoger is a village located on the border between Buskerud and Vestfold counties, Norway. Of its population of 1,082 as of 2005, 654 were registered as residents of Drammen whereas 428 live in Sande in Vestfold county, Norway. History Historically the area had large forested areas, and much arable land. Reference to Skoger is made in the land register maintained by Bishop Eystein Erlendsson (''Biskop Eysteins jordebok''). The parish of ''Skouger'' was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 under of the law of formannskapsdistrikt. The pulp and paper industry comprises companies that use wood as raw material and produce pulp, paper, paperboard and other cellulose-based products. Manufacturing process The pulp is fed to a paper machine where it is formed as a paper web and the water is removed from it by pressing and drying. Pressing the sheet removes the water by force. Drammen
Drammen () is a city and municipality in Viken (county), Viken, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway.
