"Jenny Don't Be Hasty" is a song by Scottish singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini, written with Jimmy Hogarth and produced by Ken Nelson. The song was released as Nutini's second single on 25 September 2006 from his debut album, '' These Streets'' (2006). The lyrics, a personal experience of the singer, are about an 18-year-old boy who wants to have a relationship with an older woman who is angry at him for having lied to her about his real age and now says he is too young. ''These Streets'' is the debut studio album by Scottish singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini, released by Atlantic Records on 17 July 2006. Preceded by the single "Last Request", the album debuted and peaked at number 3 on the UK Albums Chart and was later certified with five Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry for domestic shipments in excess of 1,500,000 copies. Ken Nelson (born 6 February 1959 in Liverpool) is an English record producer. After several years working on demos and independent artists, he achieved success with Gomez, and worldwide success with the first Coldplay recording. He has also worked with Badly Drawn Boy, Howling Bells, The Charlatans, Kings of Convenience, The Orange Lights, Ray LaMontagne, Snow Patrol, Paolo Nutini, and Deadbeat Darling.
