Jeff Hooker
Jeff Hooker (born March 21, 1965) is a retired U.S. soccer forward who currently coaches the University of Denver women's soccer team. Hooker earned twelve caps, scoring one goal, with the U.S. national team between 1984 and 1987 and was a member of the 1984 U.S. Olympic soccer team. He played professionally in the Western Soccer Alliance and American Professional Soccer League. Playing High school and college Hooker attended Walnut High School in Walnut, California where he played on the school's boys soccer team. He is tied for fifth on the California state high school list for most assists in a season (44 assists in 1982–1983). Hooker attended and played soccer at UCLA for three seasons between 1983 and 1987. He played as a freshman, but redshirted the 1984 season to play for the U.S. in the 1984 Summer Olympics. Tampa Bay Rowdies (1975–1993)
The Tampa Bay Rowdies were an American professional soccer team based in Tampa, Florida, that competed in the original North American Soccer League (NASL) from 1975 to 1984. They enjoyed broad popular support in the Tampa Bay area until the NASL folded in 1984, after which the team played in various minor indoor and outdoor leagues before finally folding on January 31, 1994. The Rowdies played nearly all of their outdoor home games at Tampa Stadium and nearly all of their indoor games at the Bayfront Center Arena in nearby St. Petersburg, Florida. Although San Diego played indoors until 1996, the Rowdies were the last surviving NASL franchise that played outdoor soccer on a regular basis. The Professional Cup was an international soccer tournament that took place in 1992 and involved eight, professional clubs from three different leagues in North America; the American Professional Soccer League, the Canadian Soccer League, and the National Professional Soccer League. Although it was billed as ''"inaugural"'' this would be the only year that the tournament was played. Jacques LaDouceur (born April 29, 1959 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti) is a Haitian-American retired soccer forward. He played two seasons in Greece before returning to the U.S. for eight seasons of indoor soccer. He also earned ten caps, scoring two goals, with the U.S. national team in 1984 and 1985. In 1967, his mother gained an opportunity to move to the U.S. to work in the textile industry. In the fall of 1969, his mother had saved enough money to move the family to the U.S. and on December 12, 1969, LaDouceur landed at Kennedy Airport in New York City.
