Jean-Pierre De Vincenzi, born on March 27, 1957, in Marmande, France. Is a former French basketball player, coach, and administrator, who has held the positions of National Technical Director (DTN) and General Director of the French Basketball Federation, as well as General Director of the French National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance . Marmande
Marmande (; in Occitan language, Occitan, ''Marmanda'') is a Communes of France, commune in the Lot-et-Garonne ''Departments of France, département'' in south-western France. Geography Marmande is located 35 km north-west of Agen, on the southern railway from Bordeaux to Sète. The town is situated at the confluence of the Trec (river), Trec with the Garonne on the right bank of the latter river, which is crossed at this point by a suspension bridge. INSEP, the National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance (Institut national du sport, de l'expertise et de la performance), is a French training institute and center for excellence in sports that trains elite athletes. The FIBA U18 European Championship, originally known as the European Championship for Juniors, is a youth men's basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1964 edition. Laurent Sciarra (born 8 August 1973) is a former French professional basketball player. Professional career Sciarra began his professional career in 1990, with Hyères-Toulon Var Basket, and he moved to Paris Basket Racing in 1993. He played with PBR until 1997, when he was a member of the club's French League championship season. Sciarra then moved abroad for one season, playing with Ciudad de Huelva in Spain, and Pallacanestro Treviso in Italy, before returning to Paris. In 2001, Sciarra again moved abroad, and spent a season with Panionios in Greece. Following two more seasons with Paris Basket Racing, Sciarra played with the French club BCM Gravelines, for one season. Tariq Abdul-Wahad (born Olivier Michael Saint-Jean; November 3, 1974) is a French basketball coach and former player. As Olivier Saint-Jean, he played college basketball at Michigan and San Jose State. In 1997, the Sacramento Kings selected Saint-Jean in the first round of the NBA draft as the 11th overall pick, and Saint-Jean converted to Islam and changed his name to Tariq Abdul-Wahad. Cyril Julian (born 29 March 1974 in Castres, Tarn) is a French former men's professional basketball player. He spent most of his club career with the pro club SLUC Nancy in France. Club career After a stint in Tarbes where he started at 15 in Nationale 3, he joined the elite of French basketball by signing at SLUC Nancy. He played there for four seasons before joining the PSG Racing club where he played for two seasons before returning to his former club Nancy.
