Je Deviens Moi
''Je deviens moi'' (meaning "I Become Myself") is the name of the first studio album recorded by the French singer Grégory Lemarchal. It was released on April 17, 2005 and contains the hit singles "Écris l'histoire" and "Je suis en vie". The album topped the chart in France, and was also a success in Belgium (Wallonia). It remained the first and the only studio album of the singer recorded and released when he was living. There are two formats of the album : the first one is a simple CD, and the second one is a collector edition containing a CD plus a DVD. The album was a re-issued after Lemarchal's death, reaching #1 on the French Back Catalogue Chart (chart for albums that have been released two years earlier), and #2 on the French Digital Chart. Grégory Lemarchal
Grégory Jean-Paul Lemarchal (13 May 1983 – 30 April 2007), known professionally as Grégory Lemarchal, was a French singer who rose to fame by winning the fourth series of the reality television show ''Star Academy'', which was broadcast on the TF1. He died at the age of 23 of health complications (cystic fibrosis) while waiting in hospital for a lung transplant. A posthumous album, '' La Voix d'un ange'', was released with profits going towards the Association Grégory Lemarchal charity. A compilation, ''Rêves'', was released in 2009. He has sold more than 2 million albums. Grégory Lemarchal remains an emblematic figure in France, often associated in the research and fight against cystic fibrosis. "Écris l'histoire" is the debut and most successful single from French singer Grégory Lemarchal. It was released in March 2005 in francophone countries as first single from his album ''Je deviens moi'', where it had a great success, particularly in France and Belgium (Wallonia). Background The lyrics were written and the music composed by Francesco de Benedittis and Paul Manners. This song is actually a cover version of that of Italian singer Davide Esposito, "Io so che tu", but with other lyrics in French. Peter Plate (born 1 July 1967) is a German musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. Between 1991 and 2012, he was the keyboardist and occasional vocalist of Rosenstolz, a German pop duo that had chart hits in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Early life Peter Plate was born on 1 July 1967 in New Delhi, where his grandfather was a diplomat, and came to Germany at the age of three, spending his childhood first in Hamburg and then in Goslar. Paul Manners (born 27 September 1953) is a British singer, musician, composer and producer best known for being the vocalist of the Italian pop band I Cugini di Campagna from 1978 to 1985.
