Jayanta
Jayanta ( sa, जयन्त, "victory"), is a character who appears in Hindu literature. He is the son of Indra, the king of the devas (gods), and his wife, Shachi (Indrani). He has a sister called Jayanti. He appears in various Hindu scriptures, fighting in wars on behalf of the devas. Jayanta also appears in the epic ''Ramayana'' and other lore, in which he disguises himself as a crow. Jayant Parmer
Jayant Parmar (born 11 October 1954) is an Indian Urdu language poet known for raising Dalit issues in his poetry. Parmar was born in a poor family. At a young age, he began to paint miniature paintings for a frame maker. Parmar realized that the frame maker had a separate pot for him because he was Dalit. This saddened Parmar and he quit. Jayanta Mahapatra
Jayanta Mahapatra (born 22 October 1928) is an Indian English poet. He is the first Indian poet to win a Sahitya Akademi award for English poetry. He is the author of poems such as "Indian Summer" and "Hunger", which are regarded as classics in modern Indian English literature. He was awarded a Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour in India in 2009. He returned the award in 2015 to protest against rising intolerance in India. Indian Poets Trio Mahapatra was part of a trio of poets who laid the foundations of Indian English Poetry, which included A. K. Ramanujan and R. Parthasarathy. Jayant Shridhar Tilak (12 October 1921 – 23 April 2001), generally referred to as Jayant-rao Tilak, was a politician from Indian National Congress and was a member of the Parliament of India representing Maharashtra in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament. He was also a Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council. He was the chairman of the house for 16 years. Early life and family Jayantrao Tilak was a grandson of the Indian independence leader, Lokmanya Tilak. Jayantrao's father, Shridhar Balwant Tilak was a campaigner for social reforms in India. Jayant Gokaldas Gadit ( gu, જયંત ગોકળદાસ ગાડીત) was a Gujarati novelist, critic and professor from Gujarat, India. He received the Dhanji Kanji Gandhi Suvarna Chandrak in 2008 and was awarded the Gujarat Sahitya Akademi prize twice. Life Gadit was born on 26 November 1938 in Kandivali, Mumbai to Gokaldas Gadit and Santok. He studied Gujarati and Sanskrit at Gujarat University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1961 and a Master of Arts degree in 1964. In 1974 he received his PhD under Harivallabh Bhayani. Gadit taught at the art colleges of Petlad and Mahudha from 1965 to 1977. He worked as a professor in the postgraduate department of Sardar Patel University from 1977 to 1986 and headed the Gujarati department there before retiring at the age of 60.
