Jawad is one of the 230 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state in central India. This constituency came into existence in 1951 as one of the 79 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile Madhya Bharat state. Overview Jawad (constituency number 230) is one of the 3 Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in Neemuch district. This constituency covers the entire Jawad tehsil of the district. Jawad is part of Mandsaur Lok Sabha constituency along with seven other Vidhan Sabha segments, namely, Manasa and Neemuch in this district, Jaora in Ratlam district and Mandsaur, Malhargarh, Suwasra and Garoth in Mandsaur district. 2023 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The 2023 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election is scheduled to be held in or before November 2023 to elect all 230 members of the state's Legislative Assembly. Shivraj Singh Chouhan is expected to be the incumbent chief minister at the time of the election. Background The tenure of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly is scheduled to end on 6 January 2024. 2013 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
A Legislative Assembly election was held on 25 November 2013 in Madhya Pradesh, India, with the result announced on 8 December. Along with four other state assembly elections, these were the first elections in which the Election Commission of India (ECI) implemented a "None of the above" (NOTA) voting option, allowing the electorate to register a neutral vote but not to outright reject candidates. The Janata Party ( JP, lit. ''People's Party'') was a political party that was founded as an amalgam of Indian political parties opposed to the Emergency that was imposed between 1975 and 1977 by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of the Indian National Congress. Virendra Kumar Sakhlecha (4 March 1930 – 31 May 1999) was an Indian politician who served as the 10th Chief Minister Of Madhya Pradesh from 18 January 1978 to 19 January 1980. He was a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He hailed from Mandsaur district. Career Sakhlecha was born on 4 March 1930. He came close to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh at a tender age and joined Sangh in 1945.
