Jatco 4N71 Transmission
The 4N71 was a 4-speed automatic transmission from Nissan Motors. It was available as either a light-duty ("L4N71B") or medium-duty ("E4N71B") unit for rear wheel drive vehicles with longitudinal engines. The latter used an electronically controlled lock up torque converter. History In August 1943, Nissan established an aircraft engine production plant in the town of Yoshiwara, Shizuoka. After World War II, this plant began producing components for the production of Nissan automobiles. The Nissan Laurel is a front-engine, rear-drive two- and four-door sedan manufactured and marketed by Nissan from 1969 to 2002. It was the final iteration of the first generation of the Holden Commodore and included the luxury variant, Holden Calais (VL).
