Jason Walker (born 21 February 1984) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays as a striker for Northern Premier League club Lancaster City. He previously played for Dundee, Greenock Morton, Morecambe, Luton Town, York City, Ă–stersund, Forest Green Rovers, Southport, Barrow, Chorley and Workington. Club career Early career Born in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, Walker grew in Flookburgh and attended Cartmel Priory School. He was playing for Cartmel in the North Lancashire and District Football League at the age of 16 when he was spotted by a Dundee scout. He signed for the Scottish Premier League team's youth system on a two-year scholarship straight from school after playing three games on trial. He then had two years on a professional contract before being released in May 2004 with the club in administration, bringing to an end four years with Dundee. Jason Peter Walker (born 1969) is a New Zealand-Australian country musician and writer. His third album, ''Ceiling Sun Letters'' was nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Country Album at the ARIA Music Awards of 2010. As a writer Walker has published two biographies, ''Gram Parsons: God's Own Singer'' (2002) and ''Billy Thorpe's Time on Earth'' (2009). Biography Born in New Zealand in 1969, Jason Walker moved to Sydney, Australia at age 18. In 1997 he joined Golden Rough on guitar alongside Brian Crouch on piano, David Orwell on vocals and guitar, Helen Meany on bass guitar and vocals, and Martin McDonald on drums. Jason Walker is an American singer and songwriter whose work includes mostly dance and house music, especially popular among the gay club scene, but also includes pop, soul and R&B influences.
