Jason Oakes (born 7 April 1995) is a South African cricketer. He was included in the KwaZulu-Natal cricket team squad for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup. Westville, KwaZulu-Natal
Westville is an area in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and is just west and inland of Durban. It was a formerly independent town however it became part of the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality in 2002. Westville is situated 10 km inland from the Durban CBD. The climate is subtropical; Westville experiences mild, dry winters, and hot, humid summers with frequent later afternoon downpours. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Team
KwaZulu-Natal (formerly Natal) is the first-class cricket team that represents the province of KwaZulu-Natal (formerly Natal) in South Africa. For the purposes of the Sunfoil Series, KwaZulu-Natal is the only team that has not merged with another and it has played in the SuperSport Series (as it was named then) as the Dolphins since October 2004. However, the KwaZulu-Natal Inland cricket team was granted first-class status in 2006, began competing in the CSA Provincial Competitions in 2006-2007, and also represented by the Dolphins franchise. 2015 Africa T20 Cup
The 2015 Africa T20 Cup was a Twenty20 cricket tournament held in South Africa from 4 September to 4 October 2015, as a curtain-raiser to the 2015–16 South African domestic season. Organized by Cricket South Africa, it featured thirteen South African provincial teams, as well as a Zimbabwean development XI and the national sides of Kenya and Namibia. The sixteen participating teams were split into four pools of four, with the teams from each pool playing all of their matches at one ground across a single weekend. 2019–20 CSA Provincial T20 Cup
The 2019–20 CSA Provincial T20 Cup was a domestic Twenty cricket tournament that took place in South Africa in September 2019, as a curtain-raiser to the 2019–20 South African domestic season. It was played between the thirteen South African provincial teams, along with Limpopo and Mpumalanga. This was the sixth edition of the CSA Provincial T20 Cup, which was last played in the 2015–16 season. With only domestic teams from South Africa taking part, the tournament returned in place of the Africa T20 Cup, which had been held since 2015. On the opening day of matches, Jonathan Vandiar scored an unbeaten century for Northerns against Gauteng in Pool A. In Pool B, Lauren Agenbag became the first woman to umpire in a senior men's provincial match, when she was one of the on-field umpires in the match between Eastern Province and KwaZulu-Natal Inland. North West (cricket Team)
North West (formerly Western Transvaal) plays first-class cricket in South Africa. For the purposes of the SuperSport Series, North West has merged with Gauteng (formerly Transvaal) to form the Highveld Lions or, more simply, "the Lions". North West was called Western Transvaal in 1989–90 when it began playing List A cricket in the Nissan Shield, and in 1991–92 when it began playing in the second tier of the South African first-class cricket competition. It changed its name to North West in 1996, after the creation of North West province from parts of the former Transvaal Province and Cape Province. It has been part of the Lions since October 2004. KwaZulu-Natal Cricketers
