Japan Breeding Farms' Cup Sprint
Japan Breeding farms' Cup Sprint (ジャパンブリーディングファームズカップスプリント) is an annual race held on "JBC day", which is usually November 3, or the national holiday Culture Day. This race and the JBC Classic were started in 2001. These were established following the American Breeders' Cup. The winner of 2007, Fujino Wave, is the only JBC champion horse belonging to NAR, the organization supervising horseracing administrated by the local government. Others belong to the JRA. This is the one of the highest-prized sprint races. Although JBC Classic tends to be regarded as preparatory for Japan Cup Dirt, this race occupies the position as "dirt sprint championship". That is why there is no grade I sprint or mile race until February Stakes in the next year. JBC races are held on various tracks, so its distance is changed yearly like the JBC Classic. Kyoto Racecourse
is located in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. It is used for horse racing. It has a capacity of 120,000. It was built in 1999. History Kyoto Race Course opened on December 1, 1925. In preparation for the track's 100th anniversary, Kyoto Race Course will be closed from November 2020 until the Spring of 2023 for grandstand renovations. Races normally run at Kyoto will be moved to either Hanshin Racecourse or Chukyo Racecourse during this time. Physical attributes Kyoto Race Course has two turf courses, a dirt course, and a jump course. The turf's measures 1894m and the measures 1783m . A chute permits races to be run on either oval at distances between 1400m and 1800m. Christophe Lemaire
Christophe Patrice Lemaire (Japanese:, born 20 May 1979) is a French-born jockey. He has enjoyed much of his success on the Japanese flat racing circuit, with the most wins at Japan Racing Association racetracks for five consecutive years since 2017. Career Lemaire began racing in 1999, after he obtained the license required for a French jockey. From there, he has steadily built up a good track record, becoming the seventh leading jockey in 2003, and winning the French Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris in the same year. In 2002 he also began racing in Japan Racing Association races using the 3-month system, taking part mainly at local racecourses such as Chukyo Racecourse and Kokura Racecourse. Espoir City (Japanese: エスポワールシチー, foaled April 22nd, 2005) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and the winner of the 2010 February Stakes. Career Espoir City debuted on March 9, 2008, at Hanshin, where he came in 3rd. He got his first win after six races on July 29, 2008, when he won at Kokura. He then picked up another win at Kokura on August 10, 2008. This sparked a 4 race winstreak. 2009 was a very successful year for Espoir City. He went on a 6 race winstreak. He picked up his first graded win on March 29, 2009, when he won the March Stakes. He then won his first Grade-1 race by winning the May 5th, 2009 Kashiwa Kinen. Nagoya Racecourse
is located in Yatomi, Aichi, Japan, and runs under National Association of Racing. It is a 1100-meter dirt oval with 193.5m stretch. It is also commonly known as Donko Racecourse, after the surrounding district. In 2017 it was announced that the Nagoya Racecourse would move from its original location in Nagoya and move to a new location in Yatomi. In March 11, 2022, the old Nagoya Racecourse held its last race before moving to Yatomi. Yutaka Take
(born March 15, 1969 in Kyoto, Kyoto) is a Japanese jockey. A legend in Japan, Yutaka Take made his riding debut in 1987 and currently holds seven all-time records in his native country. Take has won at least one Grade 1 races for 23 straight years until 2010 and a graded stakes race for 36 consecutive years. Take has also shown his abilities abroad. He has 114 wins to his credit in eight countries, including Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States. Yuichi Fukunaga
is a Japanese jockey who has won 29 Grade 1 races in Japan and abroad. He is affiliated with the Japan Racing Association (JRA) in Rittō. His father is former jockey Yoichi Fukunaga who was said to be a "genius" during his active career, and his uncle is Takashi Kitamura, also a former jockey. His wife is former Fuji TV announcer Midori Matsuo. Since July 2016, he has a management contract with Horipro, the entertainment production in which his wife is also affiliated. On December 8, 2022, following his trainer license issue being issued by the JRA, Fukunaga announced that he would retire as a jockey at the end of February next year and make a transition in to becoming a horse trainer.
