Jens Janse, (born 1 July 1986) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a right defender for FC Viterbo in the Italian Promozione. He formerly played for Willem II (where he started his professional football career), NAC Breda, Córdoba CF, Dinamo Tbilisi, Ternana and VVV-Venlo. Career Early career Born in Venlo, Janse began playing football with amateur team MVC '19 from Maasbree, the town where he grew up. Professor Robert Ture Olov Janse (August 3, 1892, in Norrköping, Sweden – March 1985, in Washington, D.C., United States) was a Swedish archaeologist. He is notable for his excavation work at Đông Sơn between 1935 and 1939. Though he originally argued a viewpoint for the European origins of Bronze Age culture in Vietnam, he reversed himself in support of Chinese origins after he started excavations at Đông Sơn. Janse is characterized as having introduced order into the research of the history of archaeology in Mainland Southeast Asia. Early years Janse was the son of candy factory owner Thure Johan Janse and Hilma Wilhelmina Svensson. Margot Janse (born 1969, Naarden) is a Dutch chef, best known for her work as head chef of Le Quartier Français in Franschhoek, South Africa. Janse's senior commands include regimental commander of the Gotland Infantry Regiment, Inspector of the Swedish Armoured Troops and acting commanding officer of the IV Military District. Dr Anthonie Johannes Theodorus Janse, also known as Antonius Johannes Theodorus Janse and by other orthographic variations, was a pioneer of South African entomology who specialised in Lepidoptera. His multi-volumed work, ''The Moths of South Africa'' is recognized as a definitive text. Life and career Janse was born in the Hague, Netherlands in 1877 to Antonie Johannes Janse and his wife Willemina Broekhuisen. He migrated to South Africa in 1889 and taught as a missionary in schools in northern Transvaal Waterval (Nuwe Smitsdorp). He was interned at Pinetown during the Second Boer War. Albert Janse Ryckman (c. 1642 – 1737) was an 18th-century American businessman and politician who served as the 9th Mayor of Albany from 1702 to 1703.
